Overview As far as the Integrated Master Programme in Civil Engineering is concerned, this commitment is possible through a common branch, which covers nearly 80% of the ECTS course credits, with subjects covering all scientific areas represented in the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources, and specialized areas by the end of the course, with technologically more intense and strongly occupational-oriented disciplines. Civil Engineering is a professional activity, ruled by the Orders of Engineers which materializes itself in the application of theoretical, practical and experimental knowledge, but subject to economic, environmental, social and ethical constraints.EmploymentThe Instituto Superior Técnico graduates in Civil Engineering easily integrate the professional market, since employers seek the skills that these professionals have systematically demonstrated over the years. A wide range of opportunities is common, including the following:Project Offices;Companies linked to the construction sector;Infrastructure companies (water, drainage, electricity, gas, road networks);Central, regional and local authorities;Operations maintenance and management activities;Project evaluation and consultancy in service companies (banks and insurance companies);Technological research and development laboratories;Technical and commercial activities.
