    Overview Why study at the UAO CEU?The aim of the official master’s degree in Humanistic and Social Studies at Abat Oliva - CEU University of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU is the acquisition by the student of an advanced formation of multidisciplinary nature, oriented towards the promotion of their initiation in the research tasks within the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences.The subjects that form the official master's degree in Humanistic and Social Studies are thought to provide an in-depth and precise vision for the student, and introducing the big philosophical and cultural problems in the light of classical thinking, particularly of Saint Thomas Aquinas.The teaching approach answers to the intention of training students especially on researching, arousing an autonomous reflection that leads them to suggest in a creative way the suitable questions to every field.The familiarisation with the bibliography management and sources in general, the capability to diagnose the state of an issue, as well as the ability to rationally argue in favour of a certain position, are the three axis on which teaching are based.Individualised orientation: tutoring oriented to the ulterior elaboration of the doctoral thesis.3.
