    Overview General ObjectivesTo develop analytical skills to visualize complex business problems and make informed decisions on planning, initiating, organizing, and controlling the operations of the firm’s subsystems.To develop and apply the principles of problem solving and critical thinking skills to model information systems solutions for business problemsTo enhance the understanding of the business and professional responsibilities related to the use of information systems in organizations through the use of a competency-based program.Learning ObjectivesUpon successful completion of this Management Information Systems programme from University of Nicosia , the students should be able to:Improve organisational processes with information technology solutions.Address information requirements in the organisation and exploit opportunities created by technological innovations.Analyse trade-offs and identify, evaluate, and procure solution and sourcing alternatives.Manage and control IT risks, and secure data and infrastructure.Manage ongoing information technology operations and IS projects.Ensure alignment between IT strategy and organisational strategy to ensure business continuance.Improve various stakeholders’ experience in interacting with the organisation and ensure high-quality user experience.Design and implement applications, application architectures, and integrated systems.Manage and exploit organisational data and information; design data and information models.Manage existing information systems, ICT resources, and the relationships with technology service providers
    The Management Information Systems programme from University of Nicosia will provide a common body of knowledge in managing and utilizing systems development projects within a broad spectrum of business and business-related arenas.
