    Overview Career OpportunitiesJob prospects for Bachelor on Applied Arts and Design graduates includes:Conservation and Preservation consultant/ adviser on art and architectural heritage: with the Local Authorities (e.g. DBKL), Badan Warisan Malaysia or Department of Museum and Antiquity.Interior Designer in private sectors ; Interior design consultant in architectural firms and developer’s offices.Designer: in the areas of furniture design, stage design or prop design .Industrial Designer : in the areas of product design, rapid-prototypes and conceptual industrial designSpecialists in Computer Aided Design : in the fields of interior design, industrial design and conservation and Research Officer (with universities, research institutions, NGO’s or private firms)Brief introductionApplied Arts and Design offered by International Islamic University of Malaysia is a four years degree programme and the curriculum comprises various components including ethics, Islamic world view, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, analytical and communication skills in addition to core knowledge in the area of discipline; Interior Design (ID), Industrial Design (IDE) and Conservation (CONS). The core knowledge areas that are necessary for applied arts and design are knowledge in these three disciplines (ID, IDE and CONS), general knowledge of arts, skills in design, creative thinking skills and exposure to a wide range of media.
