    Overview The Engineering Technology (Hons) in Facilities Maintenance Engineering course at University of Kuala Lumpur offered are in line with current market needs that require skilled and semi-skilled workers in critical areas focusing on the knowledge of maintenance. Throughout the programme, students (potential engineer or technologist) will be showing to the concept of maintenance and how to ensure the essential equipment being used in the industry are in a good condition and able to operate at optimum efficiency and has a long lifespan. Apart from that, students will be taught to be a critical thinker, problem solvers and independent workers as the field is filled with variety and challenges. The programme combines theory and practical knowledge in the field of facilities maintenance where students not only learn in theory in the classroom, but they are able to learn hands-on in the laboratory sessions and workshops by completing course assignment that mimic real project work in the field.CareerThe focus of the Facilities Maintenance Engineering (FaME) programme covers in two main sectors which are the industrial sector (automotive, oil and gas, petro-chemical, electronics, heavy industry and power plant) and service sector (hospitals, government, and private building).
