    Overview Why study at the UAO CEU?Psychology at Abat Oliva - CEU University is a science and a profession that focuses on the human being. For this reason, the training of a psychologist can’t be limited to the mere transmission of theoretical knowledge and the acquisition of practical abilities, but it also must include a complete approach to people’s inclinations and attitudes.Learning outcomesBy studying Psychology at the UAO CEU, students acquire the necessary competences to take the first steps in the profession with ease and confidence, since they count on the support of experienced teachers who have wide knowledge about the psyche and the human behaviour, a broad experience in the various areas of the psychology practice and, above all, a strong willingness to transmit, through their conduct, their advice and their example, the values that characterize all good psychologists.Teaching model based on the practical and individualised training that allows to link the theoretical knowledge to the professional practice, by means of real internships in companies, schools, hospitals and day-care centres, as well as practical workshops and seminars.It promotes an active and entrepreneurial attitude of the students, as in the creation of the Psykhé Group.  This group organises, among other initiatives, the annual Conference of Psychology students. In this conference, the students publicly present a project or study through different fields that they have done during the degree. It supposes a reinforcement to the early research activity, and a valuable experience in regards to public speaking.With the role of the Internal Researcher Student, which allows students to carry out research support tasks, be it in university teams or in healthcare centres.
