The program also aims to form professionals who can easily enrol later in Universities, technological centres, and companies, being able to lead and develop research activities.The programmeThe field of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering has progressively been acquiring its own identity during the last three decades. In turns, this technology is under permanent developing, more than traditional scientific or technological disciplines.The doctoral programme in Materials Science and Metallurgy has been prepared to encompass the following objectives:provide training in the experimental techniques needed for carrying out research tasks in this fieldintroduce different materials (plastics, ceramics, biomaterials) not studied as part of the second cyclefurther scientific knowledge of the physical and mechanical behaviour of materials I want to find another Phd Course
    The current Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering is the result of the unification of the Metallurgy and Siderurgy Chairs of the ETSEIB, together with the professors of the same Knowledge area of the ETSEIT and the Technical Faculties of Vilanova, Manresa and Terrassa.
