Student Accommodations In EC English Language Centres - London

Homestay

Homestaying is the perfect way to experience home-away-from-home. You will enjoy all the comforts of home life: security, comfort and home cooked food, plus, you will have a unique cultural experience (it's a great way to directly learn about British culture). In addition, you will be able to use your English in a natural environment outside of the classroom.

The homestay consists of mixed gender accommodation with single or twin room (if you book with a friend). Each room is furnished with a bed, desk/table (if not in the bedroom, you will be able to use a designated area for studying), chest of drawers or a wardrobe, mirror and a waste paper basket. Some rooms have TVs.

Additionally, students will have access to common areas such as the lounge, kitchen and dining room. It is important that rooms and living areas are kept neat and tidy. Students also have access to a shared bathroom.

Bed linen and towels are provided by the homestay provider. Our homestay provider will offer one wash per week - anything extra will be at the homestay's discretion.

Internet access is available and telephone access is restricted to incoming calls only.

A variety of food is provided. Homestay providers may adjust the type of food offered when taking into consideration religious beliefs. It is important to mention this at the time of your booking. Vegetarians, or people with food allergies should specify their eating options upon booking so this can be shared with their host prior to arrival.

Breakfast varies from one homestay to another. It is usually self-service and includes bread, coffee and cereal. Hosts are encouraged to offer students whatever is typical for their home.

You will eat whatever the hosts eat. Dinners are usually quite early in Britain but hosts will inform you of the time when they eat. All students are expected to buy their own lunches.

Homestays in London are of many different nationalities and backgrounds, but the main language spoken in the house will be English.

Homestays are arranged by our accommodation partner, Hosts International who are registered with the British Council.

The length of your journey to school depends on the homestay option you choose. We offer three homestay options:
Homestay: 20-45 minutes to school
Homestay: 30-60 minutes to school
Homestay: 45-60 minutes to school

Located in Zone 1, near the vibrant Hoxton and Shoreditch creative hub with colourful street art. swings by Boxpark to shop at trendy pop-up mall or take a tour of East End London's bric-a-brac market fulling ripe for discovery with treasures both old school collectables like vintage cameras, antiques so you can remember your roots; fantastic fabrics perfect additions into any wardrobe. It also located close enough that there are plenty restaurants offering great food options nearby.

Will Wyatt Court has gone through an extensive refurbishment to modernise the site creating new amenities from games and cinema rooms to study spaces and newly refurbished rooms with a fresh décor, a small double bed with underbed storage, plus a study area and USB charging points. The shared kitchen and living area is well equipped with sofas and a TV. You'll also have everything you need to cook and eat with.

A weekly bedroom and kitchen cleaning service is provided.

There are 7 washing machines and 9 dryers. The cost – £3.40 per wash and £1.50 per drying cycle.

Journey to school Walk 11 minutes to Old Street tube station and take the Northern line 1 stop to Angel. Exit Angel, the school will be on the left across the road.

IQ Shoreditch

Single rooms with ensuite bathrooms in Shoreditch!

The iQ Shoreditch building has a great locaton just a couple of minutes from the Tube at Old Street in Shoreditch.

IQ Shoreditch is in the heart Shoreditch which is famous for its pop-up events, restaurants, markets and nightlife. You are only a short walk away from the action, including the world-famous Brick Lane, with London's biggest selection of curry and pop up restaurants.

These refurbished self-contained rooms give you everything you need, with a small double bed, lots of storage, coffee table and comfy seating, wooden floors and a half-width floor-to-ceiling window for lots of natural light. They also include the use of the building's onsite gym, laundry and social spaces.

Each studio consists of a small double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a desk and light. There is free Wi-Fi in every room. There is a private bathroom.
