The General English programme develops your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. Through a communicative approach, you will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. There are also many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations. You will also be able to improve your pronunciation and develop your grammar and vocabulary range. 

English Path offers six levels of General English from Beginner to Advanced. Our Beginner level class accepts students with very little exposure to English. Lower level students may also choose to increase their progress by taking additional 1-1 classes. In contrast, our Advanced General English class is for students with high level communicative skills. Some students may consider an 'Intensive 40' course or a 'Semi intensive 25' course to accelerate their learning or go on to study an examination preparation course. For those students who would like more time to explore the city in which they’re studying, we recommend the 'Classic 20' or 'Semi-intensive 25' course.

‘Build confidence, work hard and have fun – Learn how to use English more effectively in real-life situations’ 

The General English semi intensive course is 20 lessons in the morning or the afternoon plus one extra lesson per day (e.g. functional language/pronunciation/writing/authentic listening/speaking and discussion) The additional lesson builds on language from the main sessions with a focus on a particular area e.g. writing or functional English for real-life situations.

The English for Business course at English Path is ideal for experienced professionals. You would typically have already started your career and be looking to become more confident with the practical English you require for the workplace and business situations. 

During your English for Business course at English Path, you will develop your English and Business skills; such as giving presentations, writing and understanding emails, participating in reviews, negotiating, telephoning and participating in meetings and discussions. Your English Path teachers, who have a background knowledge of the subject, will ensure you get a ‘real-life’ experience by using authentic Business English materials from the internet, newspapers and other sources. 

You will also benefit from our FREE masterclass programme in which you may participate in simulated business situations or even attend a talk by a lecturer in Business Management.

The English Path IELTS Preparation courses are for students who want to take the IELTS Academic Exam. This course is designed for preparing students at intermediate level and above for the IELTS Exam. It aims to develop your English skills and improve your exam technique. 

While following an objective based course structure, your teacher will work closely with you to establish what IELTS level you need to achieve and identify which techniques, exam areas and skills and you need to develop in order to reach your goal.
