Our General English course is designed for those currently at Beginner A1 to Upper Intermediate B2+ level who want to improve their knowledge of the English language, pronunciation, accent and confidence. By taking this English language course you will develop your practical English communication skills in speaking and writing as well as reading and listening and, of course, your fluency and grammatical accuracy. You will increase your confidence when using your language skills in English for everyday use, whether it’s for work, study, travel or personal interest. 

Our friendly and supportive teachers will give you the individual attention you need with regular one-to-one tutorials. You will have the chance to practise your spoken English in discussions, debates, role-play and pair work, and learn to use English in everyday situations. This is a great general English course option as you get a well-rounded introduction to the course and learn to integrate your learning into everyday life in the UK. 

Our placement testing will make sure you are in the most suitable English language class for your level. You will also be able to track your progress with weekly assessments. If you want to improve your English language skills faster and progress more quickly, you can add 4 or 6 hours of extra elective classes a week (listed below).

The focus of our Academic English course is to introduce you to English for academic purposes and support you in reaching the level of English language you need to study in English in a university. The course develops and consolidates your existing knowledge of English vocabulary as well as your grammar and English language skills. Students will also be trained to use academic lexis whilst being introduced to key study skills such as critical thinking, longer writing exercises and delivering presentations in English. 

Our Academic English course is taught by and friendly teachers who will give you the individual attention you need with regular one-to-one tutorials. You will have the chance to practise your spoken English in discussions, debates, role-play, pair work and seminars. You’ll also have the opportunity to improve your levels of academic English by listening to lectures, note taking and reading longer and more complex texts as well as writing university style essays. By enrolling in an English for academic purpose course, your future studies will be a lot more straightforward. 

All students must take an entrance test for this course to ensure they are in the right class for their personal level of English. Weekly assessments help us track your progress to ensure you improve and reach your goals.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language test for studying in higher education. It is also recognized by many employers and government immigration agencies as proof of your ability to communicate in English. It consists of four parts: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. Each part is marked separately on a scale of one to nine, and an average score covering all four is also given at the end of the test. Test results are valid for two years and can be reset anytime.
