    We regret to inform you that this course module is not going to take place in 2021. We ask you for your understanding. Stay healthy! The course "Living and Studying in Germany" teaches German for general situations, and it includes phonetics lessons. The course focusses on studying and student life in Germany, German culture and regional studies, intercultural training, job application training, and presentation skills. The course aims to improve the students' German skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The content foci are: speaking: improvement of communication skills vocabulary: extension of the words you know grammar: deepening your knowledge of German grammar studying and student life in Germany characteristics of learning and teaching in Germany German culture and geography The summer course combines intensive German lessons with cultural events and excursions, e.g. to Erfurt, Weimar, and Eisenach. The language course takes place from Monday to Friday with six teaching units each day. Instruction: 9 am – 12.15 pm: language lessons and individual instruction in phonetics 1.30 pm – 3 pm: group phonetics - intercultural training - application training - presentation training - project work In the phonetics lessons, we work on the systematic improvement of your pronunciation. Specially trained phonetics teachers offer these lessons. The course concludes with a language examination. Each participant receives a certificate with 4 ECTS.
