After completing the MSc Animal Sciences, graduates mainly find work in the industry, at research institutions, the public sector or non-profit organisations.In industry, graduates primarily work in technical, commercial or managerial functions. Many graduates choose a career as scientific researcher at universities or research institutions in the Netherlands or abroad. In the public sector (e.g. provincial, national or EU authorities), animal scientists work as policy advisors to, for example, develop legislation and policies for animal welfare and the environment. In addition, there are many more career opportunities, for example in financial services, veterinary branches, zoos, IT branches or consultancies.When you are interested to work as a teacher in secondary school or in vocational education, you can prepare yourself with a professional track in education in your master's programme.
