    Mission

    Our department aims to raise Arabic teachers who develop students mental, emotional and social skills up to it hilt, know their national culture, country and the world, have democratic values, are respectful to human rights, can communicate with their global interlocutors, collaborate, compete when necessary, educate the best individuals in their professions in the world, manage in ‘teaching, research and ‘service, and also who are imitated at national, regional and global level by providing the best Arabic educational opportunities in international standards to the youth in our country. Our department, takes students through Language-3 score.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    1. Acceptance Letter received from Istanbul Aydin University
    2. Turkish translation of High school diploma and transcript
    3. Notarization of translated High school diploma and transcript from Notary in Turkey or Turkish Embassy in your country
    4. Health Insurance for one year (compulsory – You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs. Insurance Costs between 400,00 to 600,00 TRL)
    5. Equivalency Paper (Denklik Belgesi) of High school diploma from Provincial Directorate of Ministry of Education in Istanbul (you will be guided properly on this once you will reach Istanbul Aydin University International Office J - Block)
    6. Language Proficiency Certificate
    7. Health Insurance for one year (compulsory– You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs.

    Graduates of this department have the right to teach in all public schools and private schools connected to the Ministry of Education. They may have the job opportunities in Arabic language courses and also in the commercial activities of the private sector carried out in the countries that these languages are spoken. Arabic is becoming more and more important day by day in terms of both the width of its spoken geography, and also the strategic importance of this region in the world. The graduates of this department are also employed in areas such as Tourism, Finance, Logistics, Ministries, Banks, Radio and TV Publishers, Translatorship, Copywriting. They can also continue to master and PhD programs later.

    How to Apply

    1. Passport photograph
    2. High school diploma (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
    3. High school transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
    4. Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
    5. 60 % marks (min) in High School
    6. For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -79 points
      (If English is not the first/ official language of the country). 
      (If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU. Dates will be mentioned at http://int.aydin.edu.tr)
    7. For Turkish degree program applicants: TOMER B1 level required.
    8. Dentistry and Medicine applicants: TOMER C1 level required.
