    Sample course structure Please note, the following course structure is indicative and subject to change depending on your course location, offer year or how you tailor your course with specialisations, majors, minors and electives. Structures for the following year are not normally finalised until October, so the sample provided is based on the most recently approved structure. To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse), students must complete a total of 360 credit points across 3 years. 120 credit pathway: Students commencing in the mid-year intake may undertake only NSG2TRN in Semester two and will then proceed with the other second year subjects in the following Semester 165 credit pathway: This pathway (for AHPRA Registered Enrolled Nurses with an Advanced Diploma in Nursing or a Diploma of Nursing (that included at least three electives at AQF 6 Level) is designed for a mid-year intake. Students will undertake NSG2TRN to build their theoretical knowledge and study skills and facilitate their transition from the role of Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse alongside the subjects of Semester two of year 2. Part time study options are available on consultation with the course coordinator or course advisors.

    Professional recognition

    The Bachelor of Nursing is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing may be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a nurse. Professional registration may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
