Overview The Integrated Master in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico was created in 2007/2008 as a result of the adjustment of the Bolonha Process to the degree in Biological Engineering, which had been running at IST since 1997/1998. The number of graduates in Biological Engineering of the last 10 years currently exceeds the 350. The training offered at IST is accredited by the Portuguese society for engineering professionals ("Ordem dos Engenheiros", OE) and by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (EUR-ACE).ObjectivesThe aim of the Integrated MSc programme in Biological Engineering (MIEB) is to train engineers to fill leadership positions in Biological Engineering and related areas. The high quality and up to date training facilitates the exchange of students with other Schools in Europe and the mobility of the future engineers within the global marketplace. 1If you have completed an undergraduate or an integrated masters (1st study cycle) at Instituto Superior Técnico, even though with no scientific consistency with the course of the 2nd study cycle that you wish to apply to;Hold an undergraduate degree (1st study cycle) in the field of Science and Technology (except in the case of the 2nd study cycle in Architecture which requires a 1st study cycle programme in Architecture);Hold either an academic, scientific or professional curriculum verifying the capability to complete the master’s programme you are applying to.
