About

Our students are trained as knowledgeable computer engineers, experienced in the field of modern information systems, in the design and application of hardware/software for computer controlled devices, the application of both computer science, and engineering in the industry.

In addition to the core courses related to Computer Science, Analysis, Software Development, Mathematics, Logical Design, Computer Networks, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems and Computer Graphics, students are also offered such courses as Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Neural Networks. These specialised courses can differentiate graduates in the job market.

Entry Requirements

High school / secondary education (or higher) The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Turkish. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.

English Program Requirements

Please read carefully for detailed information!

Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programmes provided in English, are obligated to take the Yasar University English Proficiency Test (FLAT). Exam registration is completed during the matriculation process. Direct entry to first year of the program is achieved with a minimum score of 65/100 in this exam. Students achieving below this score will be required to take a year of English preparation before entering the faculty.

Exemption from the English Preparation Year may also be gained by submitting passing scores in one of the following equivalent English Language Tests:
TOEFL IBT
CAE
CPE
PTE

The Yasar University FLAT Examination is not valid for PhD Candidates. Students who are applying to PhD program must submit one of the exams listed above.

According to the legislation accepted by the State Higher Education Council of Turkish Republic, IELTS is not accepted as a valid examination for English language exemption at all educational degrees.

Graduates can work as computer engineers in the business sector, designing software applications and proposing solutions to problems, utilising advanced analysis and synthesis capabilities. They can use their combined computer science and engineering knowledge in both industry and business. Graduates typically have strong oral and written communication skills and are team centred. They may also work as system analysts, computer programmers, communication network engineers, database managers, supervising engineers and computer security specialists.
