You will explore a number of topics, including physics and mathematics to give you a better understanding of chemical properties. You will also study alongside other students from the life sciences, so you can explore fields outside of your own. In your third year you are free to take electives and focus on the topics that you are most interested in.At the beginning of you programme, you will be given a tutor and student advisor to help you through your first year. You will also have the opportunity to work on research skills and use state-of-the-art research facilities: NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), FEL (free-electron laser) and HFML (High Field Magnet Laboratory). What will you learn?Gain background knowledge in a number of fields, including practical Chemistry, Physics and other natural scienceGet experience putting theory into practice and work closely with your fellow studentsLearn about the basics of conducting and communicating researchCareer prospectsA survey into the careers of Nijmegen scientists shows students end up in a wide range of sectors.
