Overview At the Communication and Information Studies - Language Learning and Language Teaching BA programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, you study the ins and outs of language. You investigate the structure of language, the relationship between language and cognition, and the factors that influence language acquisition. Together with your fellow students, you learn about global language issues and look for ways to address them.Future OpportunitiesMost graduates of the Bachelor’s in Communication and Information Studies: Language Learning and Language Teaching choose to continue their studies, but you can also dive straight into a range of different positions. You are broadly employable in roles that tackle certain challenges in society. For example, you can improve education for children with dyslexia or advocate for people who are unable to read or write. You have insight into the workings of linguistic competence and understand how to approach the teaching of writing skills to people who are illiterate.Taster dayJoin VU Amsterdam for an online Taster Day! During this event, you will get a taste of what life is like as a student at our university. You will get to know one specific Bachelor's programme and find out what you can expect in terms of the content.
