    Overview About the programmeAfter attending a four-semester common core, students will opt, in the fifth semester, for one of the following areas:JournalismPublic RelationsMultimediaThe Communication Sciences - Journalism, Public Relations, Multimedia programme of the University of Porto has a strong practical component in broadcasting (TV and radio) studios, a multimedia laboratory and a computerized newsroom. Students will participate in project development and, whenever possible, in productions for the University or for the outside.The course intends to give students a vast range of career possibilities, from the various journalism forms (broadcast, newspaper, online) to press and image offices and production of educational software or all kinds of multimedia material.
