    Overview Even though computer engineering is a relatively young branch of engineering that was born in late-40’s with the invention of computers, it has matured rapidly in the world and in Turkey.Our curriculum, which was prepared according to international accreditation standards CSAC/CSAB and ABET, aims at teaching basic sciences, engineering and computer sciences. The curriculum is designed to provide students with expertise in software or hardware areas of their choice. With the technical elective courses in the fourth year, the students are equipped with contemporary tools and techniques of modern industry, and are prepared for graduate studies in their chosen fields.     The computer engineering education includes both theorical and applied studies. As an applied engineering discipline, it provides the basis of contemporary tools and research methodologies in almost any other branch of science.
