COMPUTER ENGINEERING
The PhD program of the Computer Engineering offers three specialization track options. These are Intelligent or Embedded Systems, Computer Networks and Software Engineering. After mandatory courses students can choose elective courses based on the chosen specialization track option. PhD Degree Program in Computer Engineering is a 240 ECTS credits program with a duration of 4 academic years composed of 8 consecutive 30-ECTS semesters. The regular program consists of 8 courses of 24 local credits and a thesis. The course work has 60 ECTS credits and the rest of 180 ECTS is related to the thesis. After succefully completeing all the coursework, students are required to attend the qualifying examination. The qualifying examination tests the students knowledge of materials covered in his/her coursework. Students who pass the qualifying examination start work on their doctoral thesis. Students from other fields will have to take some additional preparatory courses. The PhD degree is given to the students who successfully complete all the requirements of the program.
