The Department of Electrical Power Engineering was established at the Hijjawi College of Engineering and Technology at Yarmouk University in 1993, and has played a pivotal role in supporting the development of the energy sector in Jordan and the region. The department has contributed significantly to graduating competent engineers who contribute effectively to the generation, transmission and distribution of energy, and to the development of smart energy solutions at the local and international levels. The department offers a Bachelor's program in Electrical Energy Engineering, focusing on providing a solid foundation in power systems, electrical machines, renewable energy, and control systems. It also offers a Master's program in Electrical Power Engineering, which aims to prepare students for advanced careers in industry, academia, and scientific research. Our faculty consists of highly qualified academics with specialized experience in various fields of electrical power engineering. Their commitment to teaching and research contributes to creating a dynamic learning environment that supports student growth and fosters innovation. To support practical learning and applied research, the department includes modern laboratories equipped for high voltage testing, power electronics, and automatic control.
