The Graduate Certificate in Public Health (Social Work Pathway) provides a pathway to the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) for degree qualified students who do not have a background in the Social Sciences.
The course gives an overview of concepts and issues in the social sciences, including public health, social justice, and the impact of climate change. The subjects delivered in this degree provide postgraduate academic skills for students to take forward in their course and insight into the challenges involved in system level change to improve the health of all populations.

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health (Social Work Pathway) will give you important pre-requisite knowledge for admission to the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) if you do not have that in your Bachelor degree. The MSWQ is fully accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
This graduate certificate has been structured so that you can progress part time from Autumn semester or full time from Spring semester. If you commence in Autumn you will have greater choice over your subject selection. Admission to the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) is only made at the beginning of the Autumn semester each year.
Graduates of this graduate certificate will also qualify for entry to the Master of Public Health.
