    About

    Overview About the programmeThe graduates of the History programme of the University of Porto shall be apt for teaching and researching, but also for an intervention in the world of communication sciences, tourism, heritage management and preservation, public relations, publishing, political thought, business or even the administration and local management universe. Thus, we will make available, throughout the degree, skills, instruments and techniques which transmit knowledge, alongside the competences which will allow them to intervene in cultural and social universes in an effective and professional way.The course is 6 semesters-long and has a 180 ECTS crediting. These ones can be attended following one of two modalities:Full training in History, an area that is structured in disciplinary groups (General History / History of Portugal/ Theory/ Methodology/ Applied research/ Problematics/ Free options); the attendance of a minimum credit number in each of these areas is planned in advance.
