    Overview About the programmeStudents in the History of Art programme of the University of Porto will develop skills such as:The capacity to develop research about a theme, both individually or integrated in multidisciplinary teams;A critical and constructive conscience about the social and cultural role of History of Art;An understanding about the importance of the artistic heritage as a vector of cultural identity.Employment ProspectsThe theoretical and practical education given throughout the degree aims to form technicians in order to integrate specialized teams in different areas: in heritage-oriented institutions from Central and Regional Administration and Local Government, as well as Museums, Cultural Centres and public or private Collections.The graduate students will also be qualified to integrate Local Associations, Regional Development Associations, Portuguese Tourism Institute and Tourism, Architecture and Patrimonial Management Offices.
