    Overview The Industrial Engineering and Management programme from Instituto Superior Técnico aims to help you develop solutions under the scope of the conception of productive systems (products and services) and organizational structures, subject to technological, economic, social and environmental constraints.ObjectivesDevelop skills for a professional participation in a wide variety of industrial organizations;Develop skills to incorporate cutting-edge technologies in the performance of their duties; - Develop entrepreneurial skills allowing for the creation of technology-based businesses.EmploymentGenerally speaking, these professionals can fill strategic positions in industrial SMEs, notably at the level of general, commercial and project management, or in large economic groups and holdings with direct or indirect interests in the industrial area, i.e. consulting or financial companies (banks and investment businesses). It is also possible to integrate these professionals in State's Departments involving the evaluation of industrial projects, management and restructuring of operations, economic and financial audits, impact and technological innovation evaluations and research and development strategy evaluations.

    1If you have completed an undergraduate or an integrated masters (1st study cycle) at Instituto Superior Técnico, even though with no scientific consistency with the course of the 2nd study cycle that you wish to apply to;Hold an undergraduate degree (1st study cycle) in the field of Science and Technology (except in the case of the 2nd study cycle in Architecture which requires a 1st study cycle programme in Architecture);Hold either an academic, scientific or professional curriculum verifying the capability to complete the master’s programme you are applying to.
