About

Overview Interdisciplinary Program of Engineering freshmen at National Tsing Hua University learn basic engineering skills in the first year and select a major among Chemical Engineering, Power Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, and Engineering Management in the second year. We offer unlimited enrollment and no grade point requirement. Students can also take double specialty program to specialize in two different fields.The engineering college offers quality courses with outstanding faculty and state-of-the-art facilities. Broad interdisciplinary education and flexible curriculum make IPE an ideal choice for students.Learning outcomesTo fulfill the concept of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the Interdisciplinary Program of Engineering (IPE) evokes “late streaming” and “double major.” for the students in the program. The students could take double-majored programs to fit them in two different fields; one field was selected from the College of Engineering, the other from a department in Tsing-hua. Besides, the students in the program could also learn basic engineering knowledge in the first year and select major disciplines among Chemical Engineering, Power Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the second year without quota limit.Offering solid courses, the engineering college has a strong faculty and well-equipped experimental facilities.
