    About

    The UNSW Master of Engineering Science in Biomedical Engineering is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree offered by the School of Biomedical Engineering. You’ll gain the expertise to work in influential areas related to human health, like biomechanics, medical device design, drug-delivery systems, radiotherapies, telemedicine, robotics, and cell and tissue engineering.

    The Master of Engineering Science (Biomedical Engineering) is designed for graduate engineers. As part of a globally renowned engineering faculty, you’ll learn to apply your knowledge of engineering to drive solutions that support human health.

    The program is designed for students who already have an accredited engineering degree and want to shift their career towards biomedical engineering. You’ll choose up to four courses from relevant disciplines such as electrical, chemical and mechanical engineering, as well as two foundation courses in the subject area. 

    If you have a degree or extensive professional experience in a related area, you can apply for credit of up to half the program.

    Entry Requirements

    This Master of Engineering Science specialisation accepts students from any engineering discipline.

    Entry into the Master’s program requires completion of a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree (or equivalent) or 3-year Engineering Science degree in any engineering discipline. A minimum 65% average, or its equivalent, throughout the qualifying bachelor’s degree is mandatory.*

    *Qualifications from non-211 Chinese Universities will require a 70% average
