    About

    Advance your career by completing a public policy masters degree.

    The public policy masters degree offers a multidisciplinary perspective on the global, national, and local levels of a rapidly changing policy environment. The courses are flexible and dynamic, offering mixed mode of delivery and a blend of work-based learning, workshops, and a virtual learning environment online.

    Flinders University also offers Master of Public Sector Management degree, which is for people who manage people, projects and resources in a wide variety of organisations including government departments, not for profits, international non-governmental organisations, and social enterprises.  The course provides students with the skills in public sector management and knowledge to undertake professional research.

    The study program includes a mixture of compulsory and elective topics, as well as individual research.

    Topics cover areas such as public policy, governance and public policy, economics and public policy and a professional research project.

    Some electives can be incorporated from other graduate programs including public sector management, international relations, international business, environmental management, social work, public health and educational management.

     

    Practical experience

    Masters students have the opportunity to undertake an internship. A Flinders' internship helps you graduate work-ready and provides experience directly related to a specialist area in your degree. 

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification or hold a the Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Education or closely related qualification. In addition, applicants must also have no less than two years’ work experience in an organisation.

    English Program Requirements

    If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers. This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
