    About

    Overview The Master's degree in Materials Science programme usually lasts 4 semesters, which corresponds to 120 credit points. The credit points are awarded based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). 1 credit point corresponds to an average student workload of 30 hours.Students with a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Materials at ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology can start both in the autumn or spring semester. Applicants from other universities who meet the admittance criteria can start only in the autumn semester.Structure of the Master's Degree CourseStudents need to obtain at least 60 ECTS in the categories of core and elective courses. A minimum of 30 ECTS have to be chosen from a set of mandatory courses that cover key themes in materials science (Core Courses). For the remaining credit points, students are free to specialize in a variety of materials-​related areas, including materials creation, materials analysis and properties, materials modeling and simulation, nano-​science and -​technology, and others, by choosing Master level courses offered by the Department of Materials or by other ETH departments (Elective Courses).In addition, the students have to do two Master's projects (8 weeks), the Master's thesis (6 months) and 6 ECTS through courses in the area of humanities, social and political science from the GESS-​Department.  I want to find another Master Course
