    The minimum number of credit hours for the study plan for obtaining a bachelor's degree in the major is (160) credit hours as follows:
    1- Specialized requirements (107) hours, including:
    Compulsory requirements (98) hours:

    It includes many scientific and practical materials where laboratories and workshops are equipped with appropriate equipment to implement practical fields such as: Internal combustion engine lab, thermal power plants lab, solar energy lab, wind energy lab, simulation lab, photovoltaic energy lab, heat transfer lab.

    Also, the mandatory requirements include practical training for 280 hours after the student completes at least (115) credit hours. The student is devoted to training in one of the accredited institutions and under the supervision of the department to ensure that training achieves its intended purposes.

    In addition, students shall undertake graduation project of (4) credit hours distributed over two consecutive semesters, provided that the student has completed the practical training.


    Elective Requirements (9) Hours: They are supportive materials for the specialization offered by other related majors or programs in the college and the credit hours for each are specified.

    Entry Requirements

    Students with a high school diploma or its equivalent from outside Jordan can enroll in higher education institutions directly through websites of public and private universities or intermediate community colleges based on their averages. Universities implement the credit hours system, which allows students to choose courses according to their study plan.

    Students wishing to enroll in a master's program must hold a bachelor's degree. Furthermore, students who wish to enroll in doctoral programs must hold a master's degree.

    In addition, students wishing to enroll in postgraduate programs are required to provide a certificate confirming their English proficiency level in a TOEFL or IELTS exam. They could also demonstrate a certain proficiency level in French or German. Lastly, they could take an English language exam held by the higher education institution they apply in.

    In the event that the student fails to prove the required level of English, German or French, or fails the English equivalency exam, they may study a qualifying program in English at the university where they undertake additional six credit hours; he/she must score a minimum grade that varies according to their specialization.

    Refundable Deposit: JOD 200. (Paid once by new students and refunded upon graduation or after obtaining university clearance.)
