Overview Learning outcomesThe Painting courses at Seoul National University for first years are consisted of basic foundational classes in both practice and theory, designed to develop students’ formative methods and theory, designed to develop students’ formative methods and expression through various media. From the sophomore to senior year, students will be given advanced courses that experiment with and develop various means of expression concerning their major and according to their levels. Along with this, the department expands understanding of theory and art history for visual art in general. The goal of the Department of Painting from Seoul National University is to develop unique artistic qualities and train professionals in the area as an artist, the department is organized into a four-year undergraduate program, and two-year programs for MFA and DFA course.
