    About

    Graduate Degree program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been established with a vision that introducing innovative products can only be achieved by specialization and by combining creativity and engineering experience. Thus program is organized to provide the students the opportunity to specialize in signal processing, energy systems, applied electromagnetics, power electronics and control systems. The program aims to provide the students the skills to apply the advanced knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering especially for solving complex problems in their specialization area, to operate and conduct inter-disciplinary studies and to work with others, in professional and social settings and to organize and participate creative and integrative design activities effectively.
    The first year of the PhD programme consists of coursework, followed by one year of preparation for the Doctorate Proficiency Examination. After passing the examination successfully, students will begin to write their dissertations, for a total research period of two years.

    Entry Requirements

    Postgraduate diploma (or higher) BSc and MSc (with thesis) degree should be in obtained one of the below programmes : To be a graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering MSc program or a similar program (e.g. Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Communications and Control), Biomedical, Bioengineering, Mechatronics, Computer, Software, Energy, Mechanical Engineering and other engineering programs and Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetic, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or similar MSc degree programs (with thesis)” Min. Graduation Degree should be: 3.00 / 4.00 Students must obtain one of the following exams: GRE (New): Min. 153 GMAT: Min. 500 ALES: 70 Quantitative The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Turkish. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

    English Program Requirements

    Please read carefully for detailed information!

    Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programmes provided in English, are obligated to take the Yasar University English Proficiency Test (FLAT). Exam registration is completed during the matriculation process. Direct entry to first year of the program is achieved with a minimum score of 65/100 in this exam. Students achieving below this score will be required to take a year of English preparation before entering the faculty.

    Exemption from the English Preparation Year may also be gained by submitting passing scores in one of the following equivalent English Language Tests:
    TOEFL IBT
    CAE
    CPE
    PTE

    The Yasar University FLAT Examination is not valid for PhD Candidates. Students who are applying to PhD program must submit one of the exams listed above.

    According to the legislation accepted by the State Higher Education Council of Turkish Republic, IELTS is not accepted as a valid examination for English language exemption at all educational degrees.
