It is also an essential tool for research groups active in the fields of sciences and technologies related with the aeronautical and space sectors. It is a program with international projection, promoting the permeability of the research groups and the mobility of students and teachers with other national and foreign universities and research centers.The programmeThe program offers to the Ph. D. students a high level specialized training in the aerospace field and a solid basis in research methodologies. The aim is to offer the students a knowledge on technologies with large applicability in the current aeronautical and spatial panorama. It covers aspects of theoretical and practical foundation, as well as of methodology and general training in research techniques, with the goal to produce original, high quality research (doctoral theses) in the covered fields. The research activity in aerospace science and technology developed independently in several research groups and departments of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in areas close to the different studies offered by our university. The growth of this activity leaded our University to structure an academic offer in the aerospace field.
