Dear Law Students at Amman Arab University,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
It is with great pleasure that I address you today, expressing our pride in your ambitions and noble aspirations in this vital field, which serves as a cornerstone for achieving justice and serving society. Whether you are undergraduate students or promising researchers pursuing your master’s degrees in law, your endeavors are highly valued.
I begin my message with a warm welcome and a reminder that you have embarked on a new journey filled with opportunities and challenges—a journey enriched with legal sciences and knowledge. Studying law is not merely an academic phase; it is the foundation for your professional future and the impact you will leave on society. Legal scholarship demands seriousness, persistence, and commitment, and I encourage you to delve deeply into this profound discipline. Dear Undergraduate Students,
Know that the College of Law, under the leadership of Professor Muhannad Abu-Mughli, Dean of the College, alongside Dr. Munther Al-Qudah, Head of the Private Law Department and Assistant Dean, Dr. Ibtisam Al-Saleh, Assistant Dean, and the esteemed faculty and administrative staff, are all here to support you. We believe in your capabilities and work collectively to provide an educational environment that fosters excellence. Make the most of the resources available at the college.
Among these resources are practical programs, most notably the moot court program, which allows you to acquire hands-on experience in a setting that simulates real-world legal practices. Such practical experiences play a crucial role in honing your skills and enhancing your practical understanding of legal professions, whether in advocacy or the judiciary. Consider the College of Law your second home, and my office doors are always open to you. We are here to listen to your views and suggestions and will spare no effort in developing the college and improving teaching methods. Our ultimate goal is to make the college an inspiring and supportive place for realizing your dreams and aspirations.
Remember, dear students, that studying law is not merely an academic pursuit but also a responsibility and a means to serve society. You have the potential to shape a promising and bright future post-graduation, with opportunities spanning fields such as legal advocacy, the judiciary, legal consultancy, and beyond. These roles will position you as pivotal contributors to building our beloved nation. We are also committed to maintaining strong connections with you after graduation to ensure the College of Law at Amman Arab University continues to shine among Jordanian universities.
Dear Master’s Students,
Your role in legal research extends beyond discussing legal topics; it includes forecasting solutions and drafting recommendations that can aid Jordanian lawmakers in advancing and modernizing the national legal framework. We, therefore, urge you to avoid well-trodden legal topics and instead focus on contemporary issues, particularly those directly impacting Jordanian society. We aspire to see master’s theses that enrich both local and global legal literature with original, valuable contributions that advance legal knowledge.
I encourage you to remain diligent and perseverant in your academic journey. Writing your thesis is a valuable opportunity to make a positive impact by advancing the law and addressing current legal challenges. I urge all of you to direct your efforts toward research topics of depth and significance, tackling real-world issues and offering practical solutions. I have faith in your ability to drive change, and I encourage you to exert your utmost effort in serving our beloved country and upholding the principles of justice and law through your academic pursuits.
Dear Students of the College of Law,
We believe in your potential and strive to support you in achieving your academic and professional dreams. Studying law is not merely the pursuit of knowledge but a significant responsibility and a means to serve society and uphold justice. Seize this opportunity to build a bright future, and always aspire to be distinguished leaders in your field, contributing to the progress of our beloved homeland.
May Allah guide you to what is good, bless your efforts, and make you scholars dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and the nation.
