The Department of Water and Environmental Management was established at the beginning of the academic year (1999) with the aim of building a bachelor's level academic program, aiming to graduate scientific cadres who participate in studying local environmental problems and providing solutions for them.
It also aims to supply the local and Arab market with specialized talents in areas such as planning, management, and development of water resources, and preserving the environment in all its elements.
The department stands out at the local and regional levels due to its uniqueness by offering diverse and unique courses that deal with studying environmental problems and providing appropriate solutions for them.
The department is closely linked to the local community through completing scientific research that helps in solving many water, environment, and pollution-related issues, especially in Zarqa Governorate which suffers from air and soil pollution, surface and groundwater.
