    Irbid National University has always been keen to keep pace with modern developments at the regional and global levels and to follow up on the needs of the labor market in various specializations. Hence, the launch into modern, new and more advanced specializations, including cybersecurity, to be among the first among universities in Jordan and the region, as is customary in teaching modern specializations to keep pace with the rapid changes in the field of computing and information technology, as the cybersecurity specialization was introduced at the beginning of the 2020 academic year.

    Cybersecurity is a modern science that aims to protect data, information, systems and networks from cyber attacks and maintain their security and confidentiality, which is very important after the spread of cyber crimes and thefts. Therefore, the cybersecurity specialization was created to qualify and train human cadres to prevent and detect cyber attacks and recover from cyber incidents and attacks.

    Entry Requirements

    Admission Requirements for Bachelor's Programs

    • Applicants must hold the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) or an equivalent qualification.
    • General secondary certificates issued in Arab countries are considered equivalent to the Jordanian certificate, provided they are certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Education.
    • Non-Jordanian applicants holding a vocational secondary school certificate must apply to the Jordanian Ministry of Education to obtain an official certificate equivalency.

    Admission and Credit Transfer Requirements (Community College Bridging Program)

    • Applicants must have passed the Jordanian Community College Comprehensive Examination with a minimum average of 68%.
    • Students transferring from Jordanian community colleges may receive credit for equivalent courses included in the study plan, up to a maximum of 66 credit hours.
    • The minimum admission average for bridging students with disabilities is 65%, provided they submit a medical report issued by the Disability Diagnosis Center at the Jordanian Ministry of Health confirming that the disability affected their academic performance.

    Required Documents

    • The original General Secondary Education Certificate transcript or a certified copy.
    • A certified copy of the Family Book (for Jordanian applicants).
    • A certified copy of the national ID, or a passport for non-Jordanian applicants.
    • An original or certified copy of the birth certificate for non-Jordanian applicants, authenticated by the applicant's home country.
    • An official transcript for students transferring from other universities, certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
    • An official Community College transcript for bridging applicants, certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
    • Two recent passport-sized photographs (4 × 6 cm).
    • A copy of the Military Service Booklet for Jordanian male applicants only.
