Welcome to the Department of Media and Communication Technology, the first major in the Kingdom that combines media and contemporary communication technologies. The Media and Communication Technology program is one of the first programs of the College of Arts and Languages, as it was established in 2008 AD, as a result of the growing requirements of the local and Arab labor market in the field of media and communication technology, and the extreme importance of media in our current era, and the nature of the multiple jobs and roles assigned to this field that carries all types of general and specialized human knowledge.
The department constantly seeks to provide an integrated package of knowledge, skills and competencies to its students at all stages and steps of producing print, audio, visual and digital media material, through various traditional and contemporary means of communication and media, using the latest production techniques, in a way that is compatible with the data of the complex and constantly changing contemporary communication environment, and in a way that ensures outputs that are fully compatible with the specifications of the typical graduate who is cognitively and skillfully qualified and capable of producing, creating and competing with all merit.
