Vision
The Department of English Language and Literature seeks to graduate distinguished students in its departments who have comprehensive cognitive competence, linguistic abilities in Arabic, English, and translation, performance experiences in literary and critical studies, and skills to assist translation from both languages and employ knowledge in life.
The Message
The Faculty of Arts at Jerash University seeks excellence in performance and excellence in the quality of scientific outputs capable of development and change through the following theses:
- Developing scientific research and activating its message in all aspects of life.
- Graduating a generation that adheres to its religious, social and value-based constants.
- Graduating generations aware of the importance of the classical Arabic language and employing it in the articulations of thought in a high manner and working to improve students’ performance in classical Arabic and enhance belonging. For identity and rootedness in constants.
- Providing the educational, media, and institutional community with scientific frameworks that contribute to filling the need, whether at the level of the Arabic language, the English language, or translation.
