    About Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/Electronics

    The Department of Electrical Engineering was established with the founding of the College of Engineering in 1990/1991. Currently, the department includes 19 faculty members: 6 with the rank of professor, 10 with the rank of associate professor, 2 with the rank of assistant professor, and one instructor.

    The department grants bachelor's degrees in three important specializations in the field of electrical engineering over a period of five years for 163 credit hours. About (265) male and female students study in the department. At the bachelor’s level, they are divided into the following specializations:

    * Electrical/Communications Engineering

    * Electrical Engineering/Power and Control

    * Electrical/Electronics Engineering

    The department also awards a master's degree in communications engineering at 33 credit hours during two tracks: thesis and comprehensive. About (3) male and female students study at the master's level, distributed among the programs. The following:

    * Communications Engineering

    * Smart grids in electrical power systems

    The courses offered in the department are distinguished by their importance and keeping pace with the requirements of the times, as well as programs in universities in developed countries. The bachelor’s program includes humanities subjects, in order to increase the student’s knowledge and culture, in addition to scientific subjects and compulsory requirements related to... Chemistry, physics, mathematics, and any subjects necessary for the student in the department. It is noteworthy that students of the Electrical Engineering Department can use the computers in the electrical engineering laboratories, and Internet service also facilitates the task of students in study and scientific research.

    Requirements and Admission Criteria for Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/Electronics at Mutah University

    Entry Requirements

    Admission to the regular program is allocated to Jordanian students, and to students from sister and friendly countries who are accepted on cultural exchange missions. Admission is through the Unified Admission Coordination Unit - Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

    Admission requirements:
    1- The student must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
    2- The student's average in high school must not be less than the minimum admission average in the required specialization.
    3- The high school branch must be one of the branches allowed to apply for admission to the required specialization and used in the admission bases for bachelor's degrees.

    Documents required for the regular program:
    1- The original high school transcript or a certified copy of it.
    2- A certified copy of the birth certificate.
    3- A certified copy of the family book, the student's page and the father's page.
    4- A certified copy of the passport for non-Jordanian students.
    5- Military service booklet for males or exemption certificate or occupation permit (upon registration)
    6- (2) personal photos.
    7- Identity document .
    8- A document proving blood type.
