Banking & Finance (BAF) is a specialized scientific field that aims to provide students with a variety of knowledge and applied skills that adequately qualify them to interact with the modern business environment, by linking financial and Economic concepts with the reality of Business in Banks and Financial and Monetary markets.
The department offers a study plan of (132) credit hours including Requirements in various fields at the University, Faculty and Department levels. The department has strengthened its ability to qualify the student in the applied field of specialization by training students in the relevant business Institutions in the market, where the student can be trained directly on all trading operations in the financial market.
The department is working on developing and updating its study plan to keep pace with distinguished International and Regional Universities, especially in the areas of using Modern Technologies and English language in the field of teaching, and giving increasing importance to scientific research for faculty members and students. Graduates in this specialization can join various public and private sector institutions, including the Banking system institutions such as the Central Banks, Commercial banks, in addition to Insurance companies, Investment companies and other financial Institutions. They can also pursue higher Education in Arab and Foreign Universities.
The department achieved outstanding results in the National university Proficiency Exam, as it achieved first place in all Jordanian universities twice in a row.
