About the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Program:
In the era of knowledge, information, and data, the industrial sector is in dire need of producing the necessary technologies and experts capable of utilizing and developing these technologies. Within the general strategy of Petra University, which focuses on updating and developing essential programs equipped with both the knowledge and industrial sectors, the Faculty of Information Technology at the university has introduced the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program.
This pioneering program focuses on the fastest-growing fields in information technology today, namely Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. It has been designed by specialists and according to international standards, specifically to provide the optimal balance between the fields of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, and Computer Science, which form the backbone of this academic program.
The program's curriculum covers data engineering, big data analysis, data mining and warehousing, in addition to artificial intelligence concepts, machine learning, AI applications, and data science applications. The program adopts an applied teaching methodology that focuses on both the theoretical scientific aspect and the practical applied aspect to refine theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience, real-life case studies, and applications across various sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and information and communications technology, starting from the student's first day of enrollment in the program.
