The Master's Program in Mechatronics Engineering grants the student a master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering. It is a dual program between Philadelphia University and Bochum University in Germany. The program consists of two tracks:
First path:
The course of study subjects with a thesis includes four semesters and a duration of no less than two academic years. Note that this path consists of two options:
One degree is (33) credit hours, and the student obtains a master’s degree from Philadelphia University only.
The double degree is (43) credit hours, and the student obtains two master’s degrees from Philadelphia University and the University of Bochum in Germany.
Second path:
The comprehensive exam track includes four semesters of no less than two academic years and 33 credit hours.

Applicants for the Master’s program in Mechatronics Engineering are required to:
The applicant must have a regular bachelor’s degree with a grade of no less than “Good” or at least its equivalent, from an accredited university:
• Specializing in mechatronics engineering.
• In other engineering specializations (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electronic and communications engineering, computer engineering), in this case the student is required to pass remedial courses determined by the relevant committee in the department.
The student must pass one of the foreign language proficiency exams (TOEFL, IELTS, French, German, or an English language level exam equivalent to international exams held by the university as follows:
• TOEFL (IBT) for practical specializations with a score of no less than (90) from the AMIDEAST Center, Jordan Branch only.
• IELTS exam for scientific specializations with a score of no less than (6.5) from the British Council, Jordan branch only.
• If the student does not submit proof of his success in one of the exams, the student may study a preparatory program in the English language at the university for (6) credit hours in the first semester of enrollment before studying the courses of the study plan for the master’s program and obtain a grade of (75%) or higher in those hours.
