Welcome to the College of Pharmacy at Philadelphia University, which is one of the university's main colleges, in terms of the number of its students and its faculty. The College of Pharmacy always aspires to excellence in the field of pharmaceutical education and research, in addition to contributing to the development of pharmaceutical and therapeutic services locally, regionally, and even globally. The college seeks to achieve its ambitions by graduating distinguished pharmacists in pharmaceutical practice and health care, quality control in laboratories and drug control, and at the same time, committed to professional ethics. It also seeks to provide a suitable research environment for conducting various pharmaceutical research and to make room for postgraduate studies in pharmaceutical sciences.
Therefore, it was necessary for us at the College of Pharmacy at Philadelphia University to continue developing curricula and study plans that offer a wide range of knowledge areas, professional and personal skills, as well as providing training opportunities for students, whether through practical study subjects or through training in pharmacies, hospitals, local pharmaceutical factories, and others. Although the college, its programs and curricula are accredited by the Jordanian Higher Education Accreditation Commission, it aspires to achieve a higher degree of quality in its programs in accordance with international standards, and to have these programs accredited by external accreditation bodies.
Since its inception in 1991, the College of Pharmacy has contributed to the graduation of many competent pharmacists qualified for professional practice in various pharmaceutical fields, such as pharmaceutical industries, which include quality assurance laboratories and research and development laboratories, especially in preparing drug combinations and drug regulatory affairs, and also working in hospitals, community pharmacies, and in the field of sales related to pharmaceutical products, among others. The College of Pharmacy currently offers an academic program that requires the student to complete (160) credit hours to obtain a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. The college includes educational laboratories equipped to train students in various fields of pharmaceutical knowledge, including training through virtual pharmacy. The college aspires to advance the educational/learning level of students through a distinguished faculty covering various relevant fields of knowledge, and laboratories equipped with advanced laboratory equipment necessary for teaching and research purposes. The college also looks forward to providing a distinguished program for graduate studies in response to the community's need and developing the competence of graduates, in addition to raising the pace of scientific research at Philadelphia University.
