The Translation program was launched at the beginning of the academic year 2007/2008 as one of the specializations offered by the Faculty of Arts. Although relatively recent, it reflects the growing importance of translation as a discipline that contributes to the development of societies across cultural, economic, and technological fields.
The program aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in translation and intercultural communication. It focuses on developing strong linguistic competence in Arabic and English, as well as the ability to understand cultural contexts and produce accurate and effective translations.
The program aligns with the university’s vision to expand employment opportunities for graduates and meet the needs of students and researchers in the humanities. It prepares graduates for careers in translation, media, education, and other related fields, while also enabling them to pursue postgraduate studies in translation and related disciplines.
