This Master degree is available as a Full Time program delivered on campus in English. The program has a duration of 2 year(s) and is offered at the university's main campus.     About Master of Laws

    The faculty offers two tracks in the master programs as follows:

    • The comprehensive exam track.
    • The thesis track.

    The student who chooses the comprehensive exam track must pass 33 credit hours ,24 for obligatory courses and 9 for the electives before sitting for the comprehensive exam.

    The student who chooses the thesis track must pass 33 credit hours where nine hours are allocated for the thesis and 15 for obligatory courses and nine for electives.

    The faculty of law at the Zarqa University is inspired to achieve an exemplary environment for teaching, learning and scientific research in law domain. In addition, to graduate a differentiated professionals in law to fulfill the domestic and regional labor market's requirements.

    Mission:

    Prepare graduates who are theoretically and scientifically qualified and in accordance with needs of the domestic society and the region. Armed with knowledge of law with its various divisions, along with the ability in dealing with Judiciary applications.
    Furthermore, to provide graduates with primary knowledge and the means of scientific research and the employment and research. In addition, to provide graduates with necessary skills to qualify them in communicating with others teamwork and straight beliefs to serve their society with honesty and decency.

    Requirements and Admission Criteria for Master of Laws at Zarqa University

    Entry Requirements

    Students with a high school diploma or its equivalent from outside Jordan can enroll in higher education institutions directly through websites of public and private universities or intermediate community colleges based on their averages. Universities implement the credit hours system, which allows students to choose courses according to their study plan.

    Students wishing to enroll in a master's program must hold a bachelor's degree. Furthermore, students who wish to enroll in doctoral programs must hold a master's degree.

    In addition, students wishing to enroll in postgraduate programs are required to provide a certificate confirming their English proficiency level in a TOEFL or IELTS exam. They could also demonstrate a certain proficiency level in French or German. Lastly, they could take an English language exam held by the higher education institution they apply in.

    In the event that the student fails to prove the required level of English, German or French, or fails the English equivalency exam, they may study a qualifying program in English at the university where they undertake additional six credit hours; he/she must score a minimum grade that varies according to their specialization.

    Admission Fee: JOD 60. (Non-refundable fee paid once by new students in the first semester upon joining the university.)
    Late Registration Fine: JOD 30. (Paid if the student does not comply with the registration deadline set by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.)
    Refundable Deposit: JOD 200. (Paid once by new students and refunded upon graduation or after obtaining university clearance.)
    Comprehensive Examination Fee: JOD 300.
    Thesis Defense Fee: JOD 350.
    E-Learning Fee / Each Semester: JOD 30.
