It is now offered by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Universitat Jaume I and institutionally falls within the Interuniversity Institute for Social Development and Peace created jointly by the University of Alicante and the Universitat Jaume I.Landmarks in the history of the Master’s Degree include:In 1999 it was recognised as a UNESCO Chair of Philosophy for Peace, for the programme’s constant work towards the construction and dissemination of cultures to create peace.In the 2009-2010 academic year, it obtained a favourable verification and was approved by the Universities Council (Royal Decree 1393/2007).At the beginning of 2013, the programme obtained a favourable verification in the complete procedure of the Spanish Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), and thus changed its name to the “University Master’s Degree in International Peace, Conflict and Development Studies”.A favourable report on the renewal of the programme accreditation was issued by the ANECA in 2015.
