The current Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering is the result of the unification of the Metallurgy and Siderurgy Chairs of the ETSEIB, together with the professors of the same Knowledge area of the ETSEIT and the Technical Faculties of Vilanova, Manresa and Terrassa.
