Overview Key facts:This two-year Master’s International Studies Research programme at the Pompeu Fabra University intends to prepare policy analysts and researchers in different areas of international studies, providing them with advanced methods training and research skills that would enable them to develop or consolidate their professional and academic careers. This Master’s offers excellent preparation to successfully pursue a PhD programme in International Relations, Development studies, Public Policy or Political Science.During the first year of the programme, the Research Master’s in International Studies combines theory and practice, providing students with extensive knowledge of the different fields of international studies, including academic and professional perspectives. In addition to core courses, over 50 electives in international studies are taught every year by leading academics and an array of distinguished international scholars.In the second year of the programme, students are trained in advanced research methods, including innovative analytical techniques and sophisticated software tools. The sum of the two-year study will be applied towards a 30-ECTS credit Master’s Final Research Project (Thesis), to be written during the last semester of the Master’s.
