    About

    Education program started in the "Vocational School of Health Services" in 1985 with the title of Prosthetics Orthotics. The title is changed to Orthopedic Prosthetics Orthotics in 2010. More than 500 prosthetics orthotics technicians have been graduated with the knowledge and skills of fabrication and revision of Prostheses and Orthoses since 1985. Students have been coming from the health related Vocational high schools without university entrance exams since 2002-2003 academic year. However normal high school graduates can also register to the school with the points received from university entrance exam if there is still quota.Education period is two years (4 semesters) and education language is Turkish. There are obligatory English Language Courses in the first and second semesters and a selective one titled as "Vocational English for Medical Technicians". Clinical placement of the students could be done in the Prosthetics Orthotics workshop of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of Health Science Faculty and in the private Prosthetics Orthotics centers having high standards with the support of the lecturers and Prosthetics Orthotics technicians. Hacettepe University Vocational Health School is the first school with its specialized lecturers in their own fields. The students receive intense theoretical and practical classes during the 2 years besides the clinical study. Public and private work settings prefer our graduates for their first option.

    Entry Requirements

    To be a graduate of normal or vocational high school. Vocational high school graduates are accepted without university entrance exam. Normal high school graduates are accepted in regards with their points of received from university entrance exam.
